I walk the alleys every day. When a piece catches in me I photograph it,
and in the evening I sit down and decide which collection it belongs to. Collecting what is good ends up being a way of ordering yourself.

In the winter of 2022, on an early morning when the work would not come together, I looked again at the paper scraps gathered on my desk — that is where Moeum began.
Moeum is neither work nor an artwork. 1–3 pieces a day, just a place to sort what I have seen.

Since making Moeum I have woken early every day.
A habit formed of walking the morning alleys looking for the day’s one piece,
and thanks to it I saw maybe a thousand more scenes than I would have last year.
I relearn every day that seeing is collecting and collecting is seeing.
